Explore What’s True About You : Quiz and Devotional Kit Review

What is true about you? Don’t we all ask this of ourselves more than we would like to admit? I know I have gone through times in my life where that question was easy (or just easier) to answer than in other phases. I’ve created a quiz to help you get starting thinking about what is true of you, and to dive deeper into what influences how you answer that question. Fill it out here, all your responses will be kept confidential, this is meant to be a tool for you!

I would love to hear about any insights you might have gained from answering those questions honestly. Through the season of lent I did a study that used the phrases “Jesus is…” and then responded with “So I am…” each entry had Scriptures that I read and meditated on and what I learned is that who Jesus is directly relates to who I am. (Inside scoop for Mother’s Day I was a part of writing a devotional on that topic and I’ll get to share the resource with you then so come back to grab your digital copy!)

I have not always seen my identity through the lens that who I am is a reflection of who Jesus is, and so challenging myself to put all the pieces of my identity through that filter has really caused me to explore what is true about me and what is not. So many times who I am was influenced by what other’s needed from me, what phase of life I was/am in, or what others’ said about me. I hope I am not alone here.

The new devotional kit “What’s True About You” written by Holley Gerth and put out by DaySpring Cards is an amazing place to start to explore these questions. The devotional is filled with goodies and content that will get you thinking and being creative – that’s always a great place to begin when you have an important question to ponder.

I started with the Scripture Psalm 57:2 and the idea that “my purpose is a person.” Wow did that really shift things for me. The great thing about these content cards is that you can do them in any order, the order that speaks to your heart, and also take the content further than just the original Scripture reference. Gerth has given you so many nuggets to ponder both in the content cards, on the four petite art prints, and then also in the book and journal if you snag those too.

The creative elements are so inspiring this month. There are so many stickers – clear and alphas – and the free printable that DaySpring sends you when you purchase the kit makes the elements reusable. You’ll never run out of your favorite blossom or word phrase, you can print an re-print to add to cards for friends, in future entries, or to bulk up the entries you do with the kit this month.
