Weekends are my friend.
I often overbook our weekends, but this month I have made a point not to do that. I talked about it some in my Day post.
Hearing my hubby get our little boy out of bed, sleeping in, pancakes instead of quick oats, a walk with my boys (yay for making strides toward one of my goals), time with family, church, football (aka lots of pinterest and snacks), and more family.
This is when I see my little boy in a new light, notice a newly learned word or see him do something new. This is when I hear my husband, like really hear him, and am able to talk about something more then “how our day went.”
At church we are learning about how Jesus broke the rules. Religious, social, rules in general. And when it comes to time and scheduling I am ready to break the rules more. Say no, be intentional with who we spend our time with, what we do with our time.
How do you find ways to carve out this same valuable white space during the week?
That’s a goal for this next week – carve out this “weekend time” sometime during the week.
