Creating White Space // Day 14

Connectedness

If I’m learning one thing, I’m learning many in this series.

Here goes me diving into another idea that is on my heart and mind.
I am a well connected person, and our family is blessed by all kinds of relationships. However, again… I find myself struck with the importance of meaningful connectedness.

Relationships
Friendships
Love
Respect

So many of these things the Bible speaks to over and over, I find arising in my conversations through this series; they are things I believe are valuable. But, often I lose sight of them.

Quotes about “no man being an island” pop into my head. Mitch Albom said, “No life is a waste,” the Blue Man said, ‘The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we’re alone.'” I have wasted a lot of time. I think of the many times I’ve recently said, “I feel so alone in this…” Wasted time, energy and lost white space.

It does take work, a lot of work to be connected and to feel connected. It takes communication and patience.
Growth and change are a part of it to. All worth it if you ask me.
Again I find myself examining, reflecting, valuing, and treasuring something that I previously, at times, have overlooked.
Colossians 3:12-14
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
