Less Hustle, More Jesus: devotional kit review

The new May kit by DaySpring and Illustrated Faith is now available! Titled “Less Hustle, More Jesus” and you can grab your’s here.

I’ve already dived in and let me tell you the content is phenomenal. It’s the perfect kit to launch you into the summer months and was just the reminder I needed to simplify and rest in Him.

4 session content cards include Scripture references.

I read the first two sessions while at a local meet up of PNW Bible Journaling and as we discussed the topic one of the members shared a phrase she used in her family as she was raising her children. And I felt like God really spoke it into my heart.

“You do what is important.”

And you guys, that’s exactly what I want to do. Do what is important, I want to read God’s word, hide it in my heart, share it with others, and communicate with the Lord through prayer. No more saying “when my kids can sleep through the night” I’ll get up early and read my Bible, or “it’s hard because I have little kids.” Simply put I’m not using any more excuses.

4 journaling cards include Scripture references.

The Specifics

  • 1 thank you card from Shanna
  • 1 clear stamp collection
  • 3 heart-shaped tip-ins
  • 9 paper prompts
  • 8 paper pieces
  • 2 sheets cardstock stickers
  • 4 journaling cards
  • 4 devotional cards
  • 1 plastic holder
9 of the 17 paper pieces have Scripture references on the back and them! The words themselves serve as great prompts and titles for entries.

While I will miss a full roll of washi this month I adore the two types of alpha stamps on a 4×6 sheet that let you create cute 3 dimensional and layered looking words! Gotta love a good reusable resource, thanks to DaySpring for changing it up a little. Keeps us on our toes.

The cardstock stickers and wordfetti is so fun! Vibrant colors and playful images are fresh and inspiring.

I love the blank wordfetti strips because they are used easily on tabs at the top of your Bible, to add a pop of color, and are easy to write your own words on.

I’m thinking I may use these heart-shaped tip ins in my “100 Days of Bible Promises” devotional by Shanna Noel.

I’m excited to be inspired by the colorful nature and vividness of this kit! I hope you’ll snag one here.

And just for some quick inspiration this is my first entry from Session One!
