MOM shower ~ party.inspiration

I had the complete honor of throwing my sister Tonie her very first baby shower. It was so much fun to plan as my sister is not into traditional or typical. So… instead of being completely focused on my sweet niece, I wanted to focus on Tonie as a Mom. A special role she hadn’t yet experienced until this sweet little lady surprised her socks off and made her entrance into their family via a surprising positive pregnancy test. Read about that complete surprise on Tonie’s blog. It’s an awesome story.

We had family and a few close friends come and share “Mom to Mom” advice, thoughts, and insights. We ate to our hearts content and had some tasty mimosas. Thanks to Kara’s Party Ideas for some inspiration and Kara Woolery of Lillian Hope Designs for free printables. I adapted a Mother’s Day luncheon to fit our specific occasion and it turned into a real celebration.

The best part for me was that the party reflected Tonie – who has a love for all things black, white, and gold – and her sweet girl.
Hope you enjoy and find some wonderful inspiration too.

We were so blessed to have family surround Tonie and have a beautiful legacy in which my niece will be loved, blessed, and grow.
