So this year I got some serious Valentine lovin’. Maybe due in part to the past two Valentines Days passing without a card. 😉
This year Benjamin did GOOD. Ok… he did GREAT!
So… after a night of being up with a stuffy nosed baby, and I mean ALL night. I was running late to my Mom’s group. Like WAY late. Packed up the baby and jumped in the car. Almost delusional and without any sleep I still noticed right off a sing red long stemmed rose on my dashboard and a sweet note addressed to “My Love” covering the speed-o-meter. I set it on the seat beside me and decided to enjoy reading it later in the day when I wasn’t so crazily trying to get somewhere.
As I pulled up the block, only needing to drive a few blocks to our local library I reached for my lipstick and ….
the compartment where I usually keep it was GONE. Yes a whole compartment, a little plastic shelf just below my tape deck where I keep Pampered Chef mini catalogs, receipts, and my lipstick… was just gone!
I started frantically looking for my lipstick. You can sense my delirium when the lipstick being gone was more important and on my mind then the fact that something was seriously wrong with my car.
Rounding the next block I look down again, as it dawns on my that something is definitely amiss. And I notice – a new (to me) stereo! Now mind you my car is not new, and the stereo had to be found for a similar make and model, which would have been no small feet. PLUS as I turned it on our love song came over the speakers. “I’m In Love With You” by Joy Williams. I immediately started to cry. 🙂
I listened to track 5 about 4 times as I ran errands after group and then I gradually let it move forward in the other tracks. Again, he surprised me. As I listened each song was either special to us or had a special message to me within the lyrics.

What a gift. My hubby done good. Not to mention the amazing card he chose, hand painted picture of our beloved town of Poulsbo, and his priceless words inside. I am blessed.
Thank you to my sweet Valentine and thank you also for giving me a life I could have only dreamed of with our precious little boy.
You are a true gift, one of a kind, and made just for me. I love you Ben.
This is my beloved this is my friend. Song of Solomon 5:17
The other part of my valentines day gift! A meal planner from May books. It will help with my 2013 new year’s (mental) goal. I have a goal in one of four categories – mental, physical, relational, and spiritual. This will help!
