All Summer Long: Book Review

All Summer Long by Melody Carson was a perfect summer read.  Filled with summer festivities, boat rides, and excellent food I found my reading appetite satiated with this fun story.  A simple story line with some delightful characters. Truly it was just the perfect lighthearted read I needed for the summer.

I found myself rooting for main characters Tia and Leo while watching their story unfold in the setting of the San Francisco waterfront.   I particularly enjoyed it, as my husband and I babymooned there a few years ago. It brought back fun memories of fisherman’s wharf, the San Fransisco bridge and even a wee sailing trip we took with friends that resembled the Fourth of July shindig Tia throws in the story.

If you’re looking for something lighthearted and fun to read this could do the trick. While the story is not complicated nor the characters all that complex I enjoyed seeing their love story unfold and think you may too.

It definitely kept me in the summer mood and was quick read from start to finish.

BOOK SUMMARY

All Summer Long

Melody Carlson

She’s ready to take on a new challenge. What she doesn’t expect is an old flame.

Tia D’Amico is thrilled to move to San Francisco to help her aunt transform an old luxury yacht into an upscale floating restaurant. What’s not to love? Sunset dinner cruises, posh wedding receptions–the possibilities are endless and far more appetizing than staying in a monotonous job in her Podunk hometown. Besides, some of her best memories are tied to San Francisco–especially the memory of Leo Parker, her crush from a long-ago sailing camp.

When Leo Parker himself turns out to be the yacht’s captain, Tia is floating on air. But will it all come crashing down around her when she discovers his heart belongs to someone else?

Get ready for a romantic summer in San Francisco, where the future glistens brighter than the Bay at sunset.
