When we arrived to a new location to “take portraits” my
thoughtful sister brought out my grandmother’s decades-old fur coat. I had
always admired it, and she knew it.

(On a side note – this is one of those moments. You have to trust
your photographer, I wasn’t sure I was up for “another location” and
when we arrived I really did not have the vision Tonie and Eric had. Looking
back at these photos, not only are they some of my favorites
photographically… but these moments turned into some of the most priceless.
The photography itself was an adventure. One I would suggest anyone should
take. Carve out the time, whether that be on your “big day” or years
into marriage; to capture these times, create these moments, and document them)

The coat.
I was so honored to wear it, and treasure this series of photos
for the memories they bring of my grandmother and of all the laughter that
accompanied our day and in particular this part of the day.

Benjamin knew how special the floral headband would be…
… and so he partnered with my sister to find the perfect
keepsake gift to remember our adventure. They knew the flowers would wilt and
fade, but that the photos would stand to remind us, and that a special gift
could serve as a daily reminder.

I couldn’t believe it! And yet again was honored, overwhelmed, and
shocked.

As we wrapped up and headed back to the cabin I was in a daze…
But the surprises kept coming.
The cherry on top the sundae…
One last surprise.
A dessert reception set for two.
Simply magical.
Life truly is that much better. Together.
